Exceptional post. Hope I get to get physically sent to the same new gulag eventually planned for the non conformists as you when the WEF's decide it's their time to take over... Thanks.
Important analysis and overview, much appreciated.
Sometimes I think the best thing that could possibly happen is one of those massive cosmic ray storms (Miyake events), that would shut down electric civilization. While it would be very difficult for most people in the industrial world, it would dismantle the H+ cult/religion, in the very least - whilst not harming any biological life on Earth.
I will be re-reading C.S. Lewis' Abolition of Man!
The final stage is come when Man by eugenics, by pre-natal conditioning, and by an education and propaganda based on a perfect applied psychology, has obtained full control over himself.
Ferum victorem cepit: and if the eugenics are efficient enough there will be no second revolt, but all snug beneath the Conditioners, and the Conditioners beneath her, till the moon falls or the sun grows cold.
Transhuman Cosmic Self-Directed Evolution
We in the Eugenics movement are not interested in competing against Adolph Hitler or Karl Marx for some minuscule little 1,000 year Reich. We are interested in competing with Jesus Christ and Buddha for the destiny of man.
All my prior posts, disgruntled as they were, pointed to the dilemma you now put forth. The following quote from your speech is pivotal. You quote the Transhumanist:
"You know, the whole idea that humans have this soul or spirit, and they have free will and nobody knows what’s happening inside me, so, whatever I choose, whether in the election or in the supermarket, that’s my free will—that’s over.”[i] "
YES. THAT IS OVER. When did that sacred and profound Truth arrive on the chopping block? The march to the guillotine began with Thomas Aquinas. (Actually with Dominic and his merry band of Inquisitors, the Dominicans, whom Thomas joined when he wrote the guide to "stake or no stake" known as the Summa Theologica.) St. Bonaventure, that master of theology, warned Aquinas not to go down that road... and Aquinas belatedly agreed, but the Trads ignore that moment.
The sliming of valid theology by the Scholastics and Neo-Scholastics set us up for this day when the Materialists take possession of the throne or at least the seat. (Step aside, Peter.) Benedict XVI made a very robust attempt to revive true Christian theology, but his effort was cut short by the globalists of whom you speak. Probably doesn't matter as few understood Benedict aside from a handful of amazing seminarians I met while delivering workshops. (A special shout out goes to the young men at St. Francis de Sales in Wisconsin.)
So, in your (extremely valuable stack), you have hit the crossroads where only valid theology (forget all the bodily suffering musings) will overcome those aligned against the faith with their Orwellian tools of herd control. If you wish to overcome such nasty folks, a return to valid theology (Patristic tradition) is a must.
I really appreciate seeing this issue being talked about. I spend time in philosophy, where I see people ask better questions than transhumanists, such as to be concerned about attempting to redefine how life works - switching from generations and recycling to permanent, or for living without children, since they won't be needed. It all can sound quite bad, and even scary. I heard a fellow say at the NSF, "Now let's face it people, death is a serious problem." I didn't agree. I do agree with this article, because of what I call the "transhumanist paradox", which is to say that when we succeed at this, we won't be there.
I do get deeply philosophical, and in this case, I find the words humanism and transhumanism to be potentially insightful. First, we need to remove the history where "humanism" was used in opposition to God, because I don't think that needs to be there at all. Really, it most centrally says that the individual is highly important. In an age so full of mind, I like finding my earthly organism and giving it importance. I may also give importance to the physical world, for us creatures of it.
Moving to the transhumanist side, I am going to have to digress one step, to reference left and right brain. Iain McGilchrist is most well-read scholar of this topic, and he feels that in the modern age, we've moved into the left brain and out of the right more-so than at any other time in history. Now I will add to that. The left is the thinking mind, and the right is - I will call it an intelligent animal, inclusive of instincts, intuitions, and impulses, as well as feelings and more of a large-perspective point of view, versus the left, which is more calculating and specific, and also detached. As McGilchrist puts it, the left makes a good servant, but a very poor master.
So I view computers and AIs as extensions of us on the left. So I got really deeply philosophical about it, and proposed all of this computation, and transhumanism, to be an extension of the left brain, and the creatures of the earth more in the context of the right brain. I agree with McGilchrist that this left-brained development of ours is a very dangerous business. People forget their own reality when swimming in their minds. I look at things this way in an article I published last January: https://markgmeyers.substack.com/p/humanism-versus-transhumanism-in
Wonderful piece, I really enjoyed it, thank you Dr. Kheriaty. I sometimes wonder whether "optimization tools" fall into this category for instance -ie: red light uses for better muscle recovery and immunity, meditation headsets, tracking one's personal data (smart watches, I don't have one to be clear, but I am guilty of being curious about one). I guess it can be a slippery slope if one becomes obsessed with these tools and that's the key to balancing tech for benefit vs. transhumanism, maybe? I definitely see Orwell arriving on steroids which absolutely terrifies me. Whenever I am in Heathrow, I am mercilessly harassed because I refuse to pass through the scanner for instance, insisting on pat me downs. In Berlin, I was nearly strip searched for this reason. There is a point, when passing through the scanner simply becomes easier. I am looking forward to your book to learn what practical uses we can employ - where to resist, as to where the resistance will actually have an impact. I hold the principle, that I refuse to sit in restaurants who don't accept cash, for instance. I think in the end, we are in a spiritual war that we need to sort out.
I agree that an initial motivation of the “elites,” may have stemmed from a fear of their own death. Yet many of these people gave birth to their ideas when they were in their youth, a time when most are not thinking about their upcoming death. Their thoughts were consumed by amassing more wealth, which they learned led to power. The fear of death may have contributed, in part, to their motivation, but it quickly evolved into taking control over life and death, which resulted in the overall lust for power and control over everything. The “masses” simply get in the way of that, especially those with knowledge, a conscience, and a love for finding the truth.
For example: in the garden, the serpent did not have to worry about Eve fearing death in order to convince her to eat the fruit. She had no real concept of death. The fear that she would die if she ate the fruit was therefore easily overcome by the serpent’s contradiction to God’s warning about the consequences of eating from the tree. Instead, she was led to wonder if God would actually withhold something good from her. Just in case Eve decided that she did not want to disobey God, the serpent quickly added that the tree would not be there if God really did not expect Adam and Eve to eat it’s fragrant fruit.
Eve did not know what “evil” was yet, so she was unable to discern the serpent’s true motivation. He expanded the temptation to include that desire which had been irresistible to him.
If Eve ate the fruit and gained the wisdom and knowledge of good and evil, then she could become just like God. The Serpent was intimately familiar with this desire. It was his lust for the power to become like God; to be worshipped and to sit on a higher throne that led to his downfall. He desired to have everything that God had, which included the control over these mere humans, the world and then the universe.
The desire for complete power cancels out the fear of death by replacing it with the illusion that possessing complete power, along with knowledge, will create the means to obtain power over life and death.
But what good is living forever if you have no control over your environment? Why not become gods, who can create their own heaven on earth. To obtain this objective they need to control the thoughts and actions of others. That should be fairly easy as they believe that they are superior (after all, their stature in life is their proof) and therefore they deserve to inhabit the beautiful places of the earth without putting up with these annoying hordes of inferior humans.
I suggest that the fear of death may still lurk in the shadows somewhere. But the overriding drive for these people is no different than it was for Satan in the garden. They want to become god.
Their strategy of the “long game” has not stopped them yet, in spite of their goals not being met within their initial time frame.
The “elite,” helped by the visions of Kissinger and some members of the UN used the crowed smoggy cities, the poverty in the 3rd world countries, fear of food shortages, along with fake or manipulated “science” to introduce the concept of overpopulation. If we swallowed that idea, they knew that they could convince us that they were not responsible for “climate change” or poisoning the rivers, oceans and forests.
They asserted that the “damage” to the earth was caused by cows and farmers, along with other humans consuming the energy that the globalist irresponsibly harvested. Over time, terms were changed from “global warming,” to “climate change” to “human caused climate change.” When their rational was questioned by scientists using their knowledge derived from geological evidence, such as the earth has always had climate cycles and the population is actually beginning to decline “naturally,” the oligarchs were eventually able to label these people as “conspiracy theorists,” as they had already proven that the catchy little phrase worked like magic.
As they used false science to silence the scientists, the oligarchs introduced various versions of their “science,” along with a new and different history into the education system. Slowly and methodically, the curriculum changed, decreasing classes which taught students methods to learn how to ask questions which led to skills for thinking critically and engaging in research. They filled in the gaps by adding “values based” classes along with “safe places.”
The oligarchs also realized that they must squash those terribly irritating people who believed in a moral and all powerful God, since those people continued to get in the way of their plans. So these ‘want-to-be gods resorted again to utilizing the similar tactics used on the secular world. They also attempted to add other “gods” in which to believe to satisfy the thirst of those they viewed as weak for “needing to believe” in an all powerful God. And once again, for those who would not fall for their tactics by complying, they created derogatory labels, stereotypes, and when all else failed, used that catch all phrase, “conspiracy theorist.”
At some point these “elites,” or “oligarchs” lost their humanity or ability to empathize with those who have less. Perhaps they never possessed those qualities. There are those who view such values as plebeian and as a weakness.
They do not see the “individual” in those who are not at their “level.” Instead they labeled as weak followers, breeders and pests who are easily manipulated, especially as the techniques of propaganda are incorporated.
You are correct when you state that using the various propaganda techniques on some people will not work. I agree with you. However, it does not have to work on them when the masses become controlled. They can be weaponized by turning them into mobs, as we’ve recently seen on US college campuses and pograms in Europe.
Mao was able to destroy the family structure so completely that children turned in their parents for not complying with the directive. That was before the advancement of technology into the home with computers and the current hand held devices that can be taken anywhere.
We witnessed the divide, isolate, and influence techniques used during Covid on a large scale. Good intelligent people did not want to kill grandma. Major media used repetition in which they actually stated the same lies, in word for word sound bites on every station, including news outlets, magazines and even journals. Shaming those who didn’t comply was somewhat effective, for a while.
The use of technology and social media soared and it became the new way for children to privately learn a completely false version of history, along with values which embraced “cancelling” people with whom they didn’t agree. Some of the most highly educated people were overcome by “Mass Formation.” Sadly, they continue to believe the lies, and live in fear of the next disease, in spite of the facts being put right in front of them.
Once, or when these oligarchs or controllers, (individuals in the WEF, etc.,) have captured the “masses,” they gain the control. If they are then unable to shame, isolate, or coerce those of us who are the least likely to play their games and take their drugs, (those who are beyond the propaganda) then they will use whatever means possible to silence our voices.
I pray that they do not win and actually, I do not think that they will in the long run. Fortunately, I do have faith in a power greater than them. I believe that God will only allow this to continue for a time. It is likely to become worse before it gets better. But until we know that the threat of their control is truly gone, we will need to continue to be vigilant and discerning.
From the little I know about Spengler, I do not think that I sounded like him. In fact I am not a fan of those by whom he was influenced, nor do I subscribe to his philosophy. Perhaps you are referring to the article about AI and Transhumanism. They are pretty frightening and many embrace Nazis although for some reason, they like to refer to us as being “Nazis.”
This is all really involved. Basically, hat he (and Nietzsche) said is that religion comes from a fear of death. Cultures arise from religion. Nietzsche is that 'God is dead' as a lament, not a victory cry because people no longer believed.
With this, there would be nothing to hold the people together and civilization would collapse..
Naziism, communism et al where seen as replacements as new religions for the west, this is the current war that is going on. HG Wells's technocratic transhumanism was picked up by Rockefeller and the world elites (very much in the same way that Scientology is, they are very similar ideologies and share most of the underlying fundamentals and differ in the details).
Wells called his religion, "The Open Conspiracy: Blueprints for a World Revolution." In this plan, Wells, not Marx, defined the socialism of the 20th century. There were subsequent releases ":what are we Supposed to do with our lives?"
Fantastic writing here Aaron. As you mentioned, transhuman is regression. It will inevitably plunge us back into the mindset of the ancient world. It bears resemblance to gnostic thought. All leaders of the most powerful ancient empires believed they were gods with godlike power. It is about control. Dominance over people and controlling them. There is nothing new here. It is simply a coral for human “animals.” Remember the words of the serpent in Genesis 3 just prior to the “fall of man”: “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” This lie has been perpetuated and its consequence for sin is “for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Thanks for this. I was wondering about how Del Noce's point about the unintended consequences of atheist ideologies would play out here and you've explained it nicely. In fact, if the goal of transhumanism is endless life, one might wonder if the true outcome would be everlasting death—eternal death...
I appreciated it very much. Though I've read a lot abt these issues in the years this one addes definitively more "surprise" by knowing about Lewis’s novel, so predictive!. Terrifying yet urgent and essential. As usual, thank you Dr. Aaron for sewing all the strands together.

Brilliant. Thank you.
I like the term Margaret Ann Alice coined for those like Harari: "philantropath."

Watched it the other day on YouTube. Well said, as usual.
I did too. Excellent talk!

I would suggest that the so-called elites that propose this hacking, are primarily interested in stopping their own death.
I find it rather ironic that Harrari suggests drugs and games to control the people who would be the LEAST likely to take drugs and use video games.
