Rep. Rich McCormick (R-Georgia) sponsored an amendment to the Defense budget which would ban the Pentagon from contracting with censorship organizations.

First, a quick update from the court in Missouri v. Biden: the court will rule on our request for an injunction sometime in the next ten days — stay tuned here for details.

Second, following our lead in this case, Congress is beginning to take aim at the federal censorship leviathan. A new provision has been added to the annual Defense budget bill, which passed a key House committee last week. The amended bill includes a rule banning the Pentagon from contracting with organizations seeking to rate or police news sites, including the quasi-private (government-funded) censorship groups identified in our lawsuit. The best way to deal with the organizations deputized to do the government’s dirty-work of censorship is to starve these orgs of government funding:
