I already distrusted the industry and haven't participated in it (with the exception of a few years of preventative std testing while unexpectedly sexually active) since a work related accident in 2007. which was also my first interaction with the medical-insurance industry since having an impacted wisdom tooth cut out in 1995.
they first drove me away by overcharging to test and repeat back to me the self diagnosis for strep I gave them in 1995 to get amoxycillin... and guaranteed my future non participation my raising the no-diagnostics-yet walk in cost for mediqwiks over $100. feed store penicillin was $6 at the time, back before I realized olive leaf, ashwaganda, tulsi basil, turmeric, and black pepper make a pretty effective antibiotic mixture.
I've spent decades building a personal toolkit to avoid the Rockefellerian (Flexner-enabled) takeover of modern medicine. no way I'm ever going back.
Thanks Dr Kheriaty! I've given up reading about problems if there's nothing I'm going to do about solving them. But your book sounds like it offers some suggestions in that department. So I will read it.
The rest of Jesse's video is so profoundly depressing. Bringing back memories of the idiocy of the covid panic, ugh. But Pfizer won't let it die, will they?
One comment I have about chronic illness here in the US is how obese we are. Isn't that the biggest contributor to our chronic illness?So many of my friends older than 50 are Type 2 diabetic but also obviously obese. Our diets are awful. I have the liberty of being retired and I do the shopping and cooking for my family. It's so time consuming, I can see why working families resort to Chick-fil-A. But that wasn't the case in the 50s through much of the 80s.
