Rather remarkable that "Science" is not interested in curing the mitochondrial disfunction (poison in our food and water, poison fiat pharma products, rampant toxins and endocrine disrupters, in our shampoo, carpets, bedding and sunscreen) but keep on seeking well "funded" science through profiteering corrupt corporations to solve our maladies. Nature heals, we have been indoctrinated to turn away from it and follow "the science".
Individual people want and need to bear children on a different timeline than the abstract and altruistic effort of cleaning up the environment. Altruistic not because noone benefits--that's not what altruism means--but because giving up one's other options to pursue a longterm project that won't benefit one's own prospects but will -- hopefully but not certainly--be a net benefit to other people, who are and will be by the numbers overwhelmingly not related closely or at all-- is altruistic.
Absolutely, having children is a precious gift and timelines add some pressure that IVF can mitigate. But why are we so sick and getting sicker? And the solution is Fiat Medicine. Always a profit making solution. Like we are intensionally being poisoned and then forced, with no other alternative, to keep taking the same medicines that are harming us, forced to inject our precious gifts, our children, with the same corrupt corporate concoctions, squeezed further and further into these control systems. Why are our universities funded to make more profitable concoctions as remedies (bandaids) rather than investigate why we have SIDS, now SADS and "stiff person syndrome" BAhawwwww Can you believe "stiff person syndrome"?? what a genius name for a new, probably preventable, "disease"
We've had stiff man syndrome for a while, but as with other neurological disorders, it seems to have increased post-spike distribution.
Yes why our elected representatives or their delegates fund all those things, or rather the absence of discourse that is steadfast as to why we as a society shouldn't, are topics we should discuss openly. The idea of market uber alles, the wisdom of the market, the automatic economic machine that eases the burden of conscious decision by being inscrutable yet always right--these ideas have replaced the idea of societal norms that seek citizen benefit rather than corporate benefit. Yet the idea that society should "serve the people" was central to America's political founding. Well, in fact the idea has been sold to people that the ineffable unregulated market does serve people, creating the best of all possible worlds always, even if anecdotally, that's not the case. The idea that the situation as it exists in the present moment can be used to judge the inputs to the system has been mocked out of existence.
It seems to me that the culture at large, politicians included, needs to receive a manifesto of the philosophical ideas which may seem so obvious, they aren't re-stated even when people gather to complain. "We, the people, can judge the policies and by more means than showing up to vote". "We the people can insist on funding beneficial institutions such as the post office, infrastructure maintenance, true science, and so on, and can refuse to fund bad science , exploitative policies, corporations hoovering dollars via special background relationships and friendly programs, and so on." "We the people can ignore government advice if we want to" and so on.
Thank you Dr. Kheriaty for being a beacon of hope for us. I also recently found your article "why we are so sick" Thank you, thank you. More doctors like you please! https://aaronkheriaty.substack.com/p/why-we-are-sick
Wait…so there are tests to check if you are free of ANY mitochondrial disease?…🤔…and the article also says something about them growing up largely unaffected or something to that effect… 🤔🤔…how many movies has Hollywood made and how many books or comic books have been produced imitating the likes of this???…What’s the quote about art imitating life or vice versa…seems very applicable here 🙄😒…How is it that sometimes the smartest people are the absolute dumbest?🤯
A very interesting article of children having a 3 rd parent and the necessity of transferring of our little known power houses we all possess inherently. I agree we have no history as how that transfer affects the new born child, the transfer was administered to eliminate diseases however what will that transfer to a new born mean when the child is older? I totally agree with you listing some cautions to this type of medicine. I do have a question, Should this type of transfer be to females who want to get pregnant without fertilization., and if so, then we know exactly when conception occurs in the womb?
Please tell me how it is possible that there is no one ANYWHERE to reign in these creatures doing these evil experiments on human beings?! Where are the ethics committees or boards or whatever they’re called. ? Where are they? No one cares? When should we say something, when the kids start coming out looking like actual monsters? Come on! Who are these weirdos ?
It made it sound like two eggs are used in whole. But that would be nightmarish.
I think what is happening is one of the eggs has the DNA removed and the mitochondria is left.
Perhaps your other were changed the DNA but the mitochondria is removed.
That sounds rather difficult but much as possible now.
That would seem to raise less ethical issues.
However like anything new and radical if it is done it must be done on a test basis with full disclosure with opposing viewpoints made clear to parents and there might need to be an ad litum representing the child to be conceived
It's one thing to do on an extremely limited basis proceeding very carefully with everyone knowing exactly what they're doing. There's another to roll it out in mass and create chaos and tragedy as has been done with gender surgery and hormones for kids. The people involved in that should be legally executed if not tortured (after laws adjusted)
Meanwhile over at UC Berkeley, Chancellor Lyons is excited about his researchers using old-fashioned CRISPR techniques to play god and make profits.
I got this in my email from the Chancellor:
----
Dear Cal alums, parents, and friends,
In May, researchers at UC Berkeley’s Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI) announced that a baby was the first human to receive a personalized therapy designed to correct the precise genetic mutation causing his life-threatening disease. Then earlier this month, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative granted the IGI $20 million to establish a new center that will use the same CRISPR gene-editing technology to advance cures for rare pediatric diseases, starting with a goal of treating eight children.
Last week the IGI got another boost: approval of a new laboratory building devoted to health and agricultural applications of CRISPR. Supported by private philanthropy, the building will provide much-needed space for new research projects and interdisciplinary collaboration. It will also offer space to startups that have outgrown the incubator facilities provided by UC Berkeley’s Bakar Labs, yet want to retain access to the people, knowledge, and resources the university offers. This new building, along with another one approved last year for innovations in energy and new materials, will form the Innovation Zone — the largest incubator hub at any university in the nation.
The IGI has proven genome editing’s potential to transform healthcare, agriculture, and climate adaptation, and Bakar Labs is crucial to transitioning Berkeley discoveries into the private sector. Uniting the organizations in the same building will amplify the successes and societal benefits of both. Already, the IGI has spawned 26 companies that have garnered $4.8 billion in startup funding. Bakar Labs companies, many of them based on Berkeley discoveries or founded by alums, have raised more than $630 million and created over 400 jobs.
Examples of research and of spinoffs emerging out of both the IGI and Bakar Labs are nothing short of revolutionary:
IGI researchers are currently targeting gut bacteria in humans to defang those that promote childhood asthma, and in cows to decrease their production of the greenhouse gas methane.
Catena Biosciences, a current Bakar Labs tenant, has developed a new way to deliver anticancer drugs, focusing initially on solid tumors.
Verinomics, which emerged from Bakar Labs, uses CRISPR technology to create specialty crops that thrive in changing environments and that consumers are demanding.
It takes more than an idea, funding, and space to generate breakthroughs. It also takes determination, adaptability, resilience, and the support of the community. Thank you for being a part of the Cal community helping to turn fundamental research into real-world impact.
As I recall, Friday (Robert Heinlein) had 8 parents, but legally was an "artificial person". (That term ordinarily refers to corporations.) Mitochondria were not mentioned.

This should be simple- creating chimeric human beings in a laboratory is bad. Just don’t do it.
These activities are scary. We never know what the unintended consequences will be.
Besides the ethical problems, wouldn’t there be tremendous concerns about autoimmune disease with THREE genetic parents?
Can you tell us more specifics about IVF -conceived children’s psychological distress?
Look up "Genealogical bewilderment" for some of the literature on this topic.
Get me out of this SICK SATANIC REALM. It’s Never been about the left right paradigm Problem Reaction Solution.

Three genetic parents in the UK?
How long before they rename the UK as The Isles of Dr Moreau?

Could inherit a bigger fortune from three parents?

How old are these children? Have any of them reproduced?
