I have extracted the main points from this article and sent it to our (adult) children as a follow up to a conversation we had with them regarding our advance directive. I told them that doctors are only able to take the living organs from living human beings because they are blinded by pragmatism and have no fear of God. They do not understand that it is for God to give and to take away life - not something we may take into our own hands. As much as I would like to help people needing organs, I told them, and as much as I am not worried for my own spiritual welfare were my life taken against God's law, if possible I want nothing to do with these ungodly practices. Our children will honor this to the best of their ability even if not all may agree. This I hope will help them understand the issues in more detail. Thank you, good doctor.
Respectfully, the Christian consensus on the issue is that organ donation is permissible and can even be seen as a generous and loving act consistent with biblical principles. If we take your argument literally then we should not be sharing anything of ours with anyone as that's for God to do. The lord often works his will thru us which is why we are to act and not sit back waiting for him too. Its absolutely your right to not want o be involved in organ transplanting but don't try and make the argument that you do so b/c it is the lords will that we do not partake in organ donation.

Sadly, rarely is it NOT about the $$ these days. The way we edu-indoctrinate kids today in public schools all their built in/natural curiosity and desire to explore gets beaten out of them. I can't cite the study ( going from memory ) but the study read something alone the lines of, within 1-2 years of attending public schools, kids go from asking hundreds of questions daily to none and it's not b/c they know it all and no longer need any answers. That’s true in many cases. If you happen to have an adult who has been answering your questions and is pleased that you are asking questions then you become a free thinker. You can still have morals, respect (which isn’t given freely to others that do not earn respect) , and empathy for others.
I’m very lucky that I had my grandfather who was wise and brilliant! A very high IQ. I pondered what he would think about this creation. I think he would not consider it ethically appropriate, but would see the benefit too. If it’s in the hands of people who are not gaining anymore than anyone else. Playing no favorites. This however would never happen because it’s going to about money and who has the most.
For research of testing drugs for one if that too helps everyone than I believe he would say yes. Especially for the above example.

Its ben a generational shift meaning its taken a few generations of Americans being pushed thru this system that destroys curiosity before they finally get to where they wanted; the production of factory/office sufficient labor slaves that don't ask questions and don't think for themselves.
When you you indoctrinate generation A to level 2 then when Generation B enters grade school you move teaching indoctrination for first graders to level 2 and after a few years you slowly slide that up so it's not just a change in each generation that slowly moves the slider but each new school year. The school years mark smaller less impactful changes then those marked by changes in generations. Additionally, by the time you get toe Generation C, those kids will be getting raised by those who have been indoctrinated at level 1 making it easier to increase the indoctrination level of their kids as the parents will be without their knowledge, helping to brainwash their kids.
It makes perfect sense yes. I still have a different take on the matter. As I was taught to ask questions and still ask questions I passed down to my children the exact same qualities of free thinking to my children (told them to ask questions about what they wanted to know from teachers) asking why again if they didn’t understand for example a math question. If they still didn’t feel that their answer was correct to ask me (actually I asked them a lot of questions about what they learned that day) then I would ask them why they thought the teacher was correct. Keeping them thinking about their question. By explaining it to me little light bulbs come on thus free thinking. If I knew that their question was answered incorrectly by the teacher I would tell them think more about your questions. Still they might not come up with the correct answers I would explain different ways that they might be right or wrong again. Pros and cons or justifications of the answer being yes or no. I had a great teacher in my grandfather and dam when I was older first thing in the morning he would ask me a mind bending question (I hasn’t had my first cup of coffee yet great just what I needed first thing in the morning ugh) and then I would ponder the questions and give him the answer. History can and often does repeat itself.
On the flip side as to why your correct is parents are wrong full time and they are tired but they are not doing their job with their children. Then yes free thinking is definitely lost unfortunately. Then yes you have slaves who are don’t think for themselves. I’m lucky and my children are lucky and there children are lucky not to be lambs to the slaughter.

And now in 2025, these biologists and ethicists at Stanford are on track with their vivid minds to create another monster - human bodies without brains. I hope they don't push too far with this gruesome project, and that a voice of sanity will speak to the mandarins at Stanford to revisit the path they are charting.
Since we do not completely understand how the organs communicate with the brain (we only have the basics) and whether the organs can even function properly without that communication, how can it be assumed that experiments under these conditions would give real life information that would translate to results in a normal, brain-controlled human body?

Basically what is the point of testing for side effects if we cannot have the test subject clearly describe the perceived effects.

“Church is among the first scientists to appreciate that DNA and genes would become the biological currency of this century. He has contributed to critical advancements in gene editing, which remains controversial for its enormous power to permanently alter the human gene pool, as well as that of plants and animals. Gene editing could make it possible to erase lethal diseases, produce higher crop yields and even create healthier foods. But genetic manipulation, taken to another extreme, can create super bugs and even possibly create super humans with enhanced abilities to think, move and alter their world. Current regulations, social norms and cultures have been slow to address how best to apply these possible changes to the human experience.”
“The final panelist, Pardis Sabeti, joined the call for needing more humanity in applying scientific advances. She’s a professor in Harvard University’s Center for Systems Biology and Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology.
Sabeti played a key role in directing the emergency response to the Ebola epidemic in western Africa that began in 2013 and culminated in 2016. She and her team sequenced samples of the Ebola virus isolated from those who were infected in order to determine, real time, how the infections were spreading. That helped public health experts decide on the most effective control strategies by tracing patients’ immediate contacts and ensuring that those at highest risk of spreading the virus were properly supported and monitored.
“The problem with the way we quarantined people during the [Ebola] outbreak early on was that it was draconian,” she said, “It made people feel isolated. I wrote a memo for people in the Pentagon and the President’s office a week into the outbreak that we need Disney involved. We need a food court, we need people who know how to help people get in and out of the [Hazmat] suits and make people who are infected know that they are secure and loved, not isolated. I believe in quarantine; it is effective. But I think our entire culture about the way we think about quarantine needs to change so we engage each other as partners."

I can’t even believe Im reading this! So macabre and I think evil. I get it that the scientific mind has no limits in its objective to better human lives. But I find this completely unethical.
