I read Paul Seaton's book review of The New Abnormal early this morning and pulled away from it needing to collect myself before responding. It seems that countless writers publish today, many of them well-positioned and as a result, lauded. We see derivative works praised right and left, and original works held in reserve. How often have we read that a new work is regarded as "penetrating" or "magisterial." That being said, I am at a loss for the right words to describe my appreciation and admiration for what Prof. Seaton has accomplished on behalf of the public and Dr. Kheriaty combined. Frankly, this is the best loss I have experienced since before covid began. The thoroughness, intelligence, care and strength with which Seaton has read, studied and digested Kheriaty and the events that have besieged him and all concerned allows something new to emerge. This is an urgent and comprehensive book review written by someone who loves, who knows, who risks and who serves. ......Seaton's moral imagination allows him to recognize Kheriaty deeply and to champion him and the problems undermining democratic life deservedly......all the while .....setting a new standard for public dialogue and pedagogy. Would that every accosted physician-medical ethicist be so defended and disclosed by a brother diagnostician and philosopher king. Two men of conscience, shoulder to shoulder. What a light. I am grateful beyond the pale.

The book that is entitled "Political Ponerology" provides a psychological basis for understanding why the honest, competent physicisns such as Dr. Kehriaty were punished and the dishonest, incompetent physicisns such as Dr. Fauci were rewarded. This happened because people matching the description of "psychopath." gained poliical power over us. The actions of a psychopth are motivated by the desire to steal as much as possible without going to prison.
