Amazing that all this tracking ability can't be applied to find the trillions "lost" by the Pentagon. One day before9-11 Rumsfeld declared waste and fraud by DoD to be the biggest threat to America. Now that $3 trillion is over $35 trillion and Washington can track every step we take every roll of toilet paper one or two ply but can't count weapons costs.

Two big time favorites..

Deja Vu ~ Declassified NatSec Archive ~ CIA Family Jewels

June 26, 2007 - The full "family jewels" report, released today by the Central Intelligence Agency and detailing 25 years of Agency misdeeds, is now available on the Archive's Web site. The 702-page collection was delivered by CIA officers to the Archive at approximately 11:30 this morning -- 15 years after the Archive filed a Freedom of Information request for the documents.

Agency Violated Charter for 25 Years, Wiretapped Journalists and Dissidents

Seymour Hersh broke the story of CIA's illegal domestic operations with a front page story in the New York Times on December 22, 1974 ("Huge C.I.A. Operation Reported in U.S. Against Antiwar Forces, Other Dissidents in Nixon Years"), writing that "a check of the CIA's domestic files ordered last year… produced evidence of dozens of other illegal activities… beginning in the nineteen fifties, including break-ins, wiretapping, and the surreptitious inspection of mail."

Ahh, the ACLU. Where art thou, or wast thou during the stripping of our civil liberties through vaccine mandates? Oh yes, they did represent a prisoner in Texas who was treated for Covid with Ivermectin, quelle horror! I believe the treating doctor prevailed.

Well, good, glad to hear they’ve awoken from their 2 year sabbatical.

I've lost track of the number of massive data centers our government has built all over the country. Gotta have somewhere to store the fruits of all that “bulk collection”.

Dr. Kheriaty I am hoping to see that you and your many brave and informed colleagues will run for office.

What are we doing investing in all this data hoarding activity at the opportunity cost of not doing more useful work? Why are we spending so much money on it? These centers look terribly vulnerable to me, and frightens me as much intangible wealth is stored there.

I am losing faith that we can fix the behemoth that the federal government and the powerful that reside within it have crafted for themselves. It will be states, and groups of states that may then exert enough power or leverage. Note the fantastic legal action by attorneys general from Missouri and Louisiana:

Refreshing my memory of the word behemoth from Wikipedia:

"Behemoth (/bɪˈhiːməθ, ˈbiːə-/; Hebrew: בְּהֵמוֹת, bəhēmōṯ) is a beast from the biblical Book of Job, and is a form of the primeval chaos-monster created by God at the beginning of creation; he is paired with the other chaos-monster, Leviathan, and according to later Jewish tradition both would become food for the righteous at the end-time. Metaphorically, the name has come to be used for any extremely large or powerful entity."

So we have a war of chaos monsters on every human front at present. It is reassuring to think that these inexplicable phases of destructive instincts (here, also Shiva) mark the beginning of a phase of creation. Could it be that humanity is semi-consciously committing mass self-destruction, urgently, in the hopes that it can shed, molt, breakaway from the structures that it built that led to this apparently wrong turn in civilization? Is this phenomenon just driven by those in power who know that no country can repay the debts it has incurred? Or is it everyone, to effect a reboot? Is a drive to refresh at this scale an urge that is deeply psychologically instilled as we move through differing versions of societies? Did the two year lockdown help to crystallize this motivation to break everything and rebuild?

Pathogens have a phenomenon called quorum sensing when the collective is triggered by some event, influenced by population density, to activate a gene, engage in some metabolic activity or become dormant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quorum_sensing

Do we behave the same way at the human level? Surely a conversation to have with Bret and Heather at the Dark Horse podcast.

It is optimistic to think of new beginnings if we survive what is coming at us in the present, and to understand and accept it as the way of nature. Hoping to make it through to the other side when we can collectively pick up the pieces and start afresh.
