Remember the Great Barrington Declaration about targeted quarantine for the most vulnerable but relative freedom for others? It was quickly slapped down. "Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, warned against the idea of letting the virus spread in order to achieve herd immunity at a 12 October 2020 press briefing, calling the notion "unethical".

The Great Barrington way was pretty much what Sweden and Florida did.

I think criticism of the Westminister Declaration is misguided. This is an important and useful step , my inclination is to back it whole-heartedly .

Knowing the work of a number of these elites, I value their opinions. In California we have silly propositions that go on the ballot approved by the signatures of thousands of fools.

You definitely have a point. Just adding a list of names makes it polarizing. If they had more left-wing figures it might make people's brains break; unfortunately it heavily leans to the right which means just more fuel for the clickbait journalism that got us into this mess in the first place.
