The first amendment is out of control is my favorite one. I do have to wonder if history is a requirement in school anymore (or what exactly is the curriculum).

Only history as authorised by Stalin.

Sorry, Biden.

I get a big kick out of these headlines, and also a reminder of why I ignore all forms of mainstream media.

The truth of these MSM fool posts is far stranger and more imbecilic than barely-literate fiction. How shameful. The Onion's deliberate parodies and MSM desperate spewings are practically indistinguishable these days. Thanks, Dr. K, for the continuing nervous laughs of these bizarre Marxist-follower headlines.

I enjoy these and I think of my woke friends and wonder if any of these would penetrate their "Berlin Wall" of talking points. I guess "they think we are stupid" since about half the population seems to ready to be gaslit about anything aggressively repeated on the 24/7 news cycle.

1984, a story about dystopian government. LOTR, a story of how a meek people overthrow a dark lord and its minions while upholding high moral standards. What are the chances USAID funded those headlines?

While a student at UC San Diego in 1975, my Oceans class professor stated that we would run the earth's petroleum reserves dry by the mid 90s unless we did something different. Thank God I got a B in the class. Ashamed to get anything higher.

most of the people having children with whom I've spoken tell me they're having kids 'because I always dreamed of being a mom/dad' and some version of 'they'll fix all the problems we've created.' those *are* shameful reasons to subject a child to this world (even though I believe we choose the kinds of lives we'll be living when we come here)...

I like the LA times headline about having children.

If people are dumb enough to believe it, do we really want their genes in the pool?

This Constitution-bashing is a form of social engineering that is in part because there is so much illegal violation of the Constitution going on now. Those behind headlines like this are working to erode our collective faith and respect for the Constitution as law. It's not a "right" or "left" issue. They are enlisting Americans to act against their own interests.

"The first Amendment is out of control" is in reality not as much about "hate speech" as it is about shutting down a person who speaks the truth about things like improperly tested medical products being forced on the public (with grave consequences).

To this end, there are now zoom seminars being held to deconstruct the Constitution and warn people about how it was written by bad people long ago, therefore it should not be respected for what it is (the law). Well-meaning people fall for this programming unfortunately.

Those who bash the Constitution don't mention the civil rights activists who died struggling to amend the Constitution... so as to make this country a place where all people can live with guaranteed freedom and rights. Nor do they mention how they leverage their rights in the Constitution every time they hold or attend a demonstration.

On the other side, every day there are people in our country being reduced to having little or no rights. Without a Constitution, those responsible for these violations will not be accountable.

Destroying respect for the Constitution also erodes the legal significance of American citizenship.

I invite everyone who finds "deconstructing the Constitution" appealing - to live without rights - without the protections of freedom of speech, freedom of movement, and security in one's home - where anyone who has the power to oppress and abuse you can do so whenever they wish. Let me know how that works for you.
