I have always felt that science was my religion as it could provide answers and explanations but now having seen that it too can be corrupted and politicized, I'm more interested in religion for community and reflection. I now understand the comfort in hearing that at least somebody (Jesus) loves you when one is walking around thinking differently than everyone else.....
Is there an option other than one that requires a Twitter account? I wish Elon Musk well but he and Theil also stated PayPal and look what happened when they left. Competition is key to preventing monopolies and the authoritarian power that comes with them. Long way of saying I’m staying off Twitter but would be interested in some of the Q &A’s.
My question is, do you think you would have won your federal case against your employer if you alleged a violation of your fundamental right to privacy? Your employer, in my opinion, would have had to undergo strict scrutiny in order to know your vaccination status (protected health information) because you could have already proven some level of immunity greater than a vaccine naive employee. P.S. the statute of limitations for a 42 USC 1983 cause of action is 3 years, it’s not too late to go after them again with an amended complaint.
It's an interesting legal question. I don't know if there are any judicial privacy precedents that would be precedent-setting here; but if so perhaps the court would need to weigh those against the Jacobson precedent in order to articulate limits to the latter.
I’m in the E.D. of CA Federal court system now 1:22-cv-01468 arguing that my fundamental right to privacy was deprived because the CDPH health order of 11 August 2021 did not honor the ADA’s definition of disability. Therefore the State allegedly regarded me as disabled, i.e., having an impaired immune system. This is because the health order explicitly instructed my employer to ignore my medical evidence which demonstrated that I had SARS-CoV-2 spike protein antibodies. The government didn’t need to know how I acquired them in order to further its interest.
