Great piece! I could weep over the sorry state of our evidentiary basis [often abysmally MIA] for so many pandemic policies. Amazingly, ruling elitists [includes the media] seem far more content to punch down on the little guys than self-reflecting on the damage they've caused.
The failure to accommodate natural immunity may have been one of the worst in a long series of abject failures by policy makers/influencers. It clearly defied the science, backed people to the wall through coercion for NO gain, led to grotesque ridicule of those who made a solid risk assessment which will undoubtedly lead to long-term erosion of trust in the medical community, and is appallingly paternalistic when the goal of medicine has long been increasing ppl's role in their own healthcare decisions.
The other aspect is the immunity for Big Pharma which seems inconsistent w/claims that the vaccine [which I got immediately cuz my lungs/age demanded it] and how this inconsistency may impact the decisions of those w/natural immunity.
And those who choose not to get a vaccine. The media/Fauci seldom/never address this.
Excellent post. 21% of Americans had immunity to SARS-CoV-2 going into 2020 due to cross-protection. Fauci actually said "we don't want too many people to get infected, because then we won't need the vaccine" (!)... Another, deeper point is that infection following injection likely boosts immunity, yet the vaccine will get all the credit (and none of the liability). it's vaccine la-la land. The main fight is the digital prison of vaccine passports which will expand rapidly to digital money etc. I consider it a gift via the stupidity of the American elite that they have decided to ignore natural immunity. They have made our army way bigger than it would have been in this fight. I’m sorry that you have been drafted to our team and are taking much of the fire but I’m glad to have such a brilliant and capable General. We are a family of front line workers all in the line of fire from these mandates and most have natural immunity like you and would benefit from this being recognized, but not at the cost of getting an immunity passport. That would be winning the battle and losing the war. If we have to win this battle I’m glad to have the front line workers who were exposed last year for our team military, fireman, cops, doctors, nurses etc. They need our services we just need to stick together.

In my conversations with those who are in the "vax only" camp, they often say exactly what you propose, which is well should everyone just go out and get cov then? So I've started to preemptively state in the beginning of my conversations "I'm not saying people should go and get cov on purpose" and then they're more receptive and they actually end up agreeing that our government is unfair and unscientific in excluding immunity.
At this point, it seems we need all hands on deck to protect the children and any remaining "un-vaccinated". I signed up this morning w/yearly subscription. I live in North San Diego county.
