Thank you. We won't flinch in the face of suffering. Help to alleviate it is my responsibility as a human.

The emphasis on the suffering of the body puzzles me. Jesus went to trial before the Sadducees. He presented a true theology. Steeped in the false theology of the OT, the Sadducees declared him a blasphemer and sentenced him to death by crucifixion. The advocates of OT theology demonstrated their violent worldly nature and they demonstrated a false God, the wacky God of Job. Jesus completed his testimony with the Resurrection, the important message of his ministry. He demonstrated that we are not flesh bodies condemned to suffering but rather spiritual beings, immortal souls, that transcend the bodily form. When the emphasis is put on the suffering it is like reading the cover of an instruction manual that shows the problem to be solved and never opening the pamphlet to consult the instructions. It is goofy. You ask what you should tell Jesus as he suffers... oh, my. I think he was delivering a message and all you could do is listen. "You are not a body. YOU ARE AN IMMORTAL SOUL." I really do not understand this version of the faith, which seems to be detached from valid theology.
