I very much look forward to reading your book. As a retired physician who graduated med school in the 70s I’ve watched medicine morph into something that is practically unrecognizable to me. I worked at a time when we actually sometimes did house calls and really knew the people who were our patients. Physicians are put into impossible positions these days with mandated ( usually by the PE owned institution) 15 minute or less appointments and the complicated electronic medical records which are really a billing system in disguise. And so much more. We have lost that aspect of healing that is inherent in the patient feeling like they have been truly seen and understood by someone they trust. I will keep an eye open for your book.
It feels like a very important and timely book. I don't know that all the people who SHOULD read it, will -however. The levels of denial I see, in the Doctors with whom I have contact, is just staggering.
I am a geek for reading these type of House of God / Intern Blues / Operating in the Dark type of stories from the inside halls of medicine and so I'm really looking forward to it! Thank you, Dr. Aaron!
The current medical model is failing us and has been for a long time. One of my biggest concerns is the seemingly diminished importance of family doctors or a primary care doctor’s role in overseeing the health and wellness of his/her patients. Patients are relegated to specialists for everything. No one is looking at the total picture of the patient. My cardiologist doesn’t care about my neuropathy nor is my dermatologist concerned about my thyroid problems. The PCP used to oversee all of this, but now we often have physician assistants in their place. I hope your book discusses this aspect of the failure of medicine, as well as, the over reliance on medications to take care of everything. Good luck with your book. I’m sure it will be an interesting read. The New Abnormal certainly was.
I bought, read, and learned much from your last book, The New Abnormal, and expect to do the same for Making the Cut. Thanks for all of your great work and courage under fire! I'll also continue to try and share the news of your writings, interviews, etc. as widely as I can.
Can't wait to read this. Sadly, I am doing all I can as a data analyst to buy my wife out of this profession.
My father owned a country FM clinic for 4 decades until 2019, so I have seen the impact of interloping HMOs, class lawfare (excessive pain & suffering awarded by big-city juries hours from the location of the original event - I'm not referring to malpractice for tragic mistakes), government regulation, and smaller factors.
I can sadly believe 20% of physicians will quit within 5 years as stated in your email/post.
Pre order? Will the digital version be out as well? Since you’re such a world class speaker, will you narrate the audio book. I bought both hard cover and digital. Love in Christ. -your friend Paul

Unrecognizable indeed. Your post is important, thank you DrV
Thank you for your steadfast courage over the last 5 years. You’ve been a beacon of sanity and hope. I’m not sure “modern medicine can be “healed” .
I will never trust MDs again.

Correction - within TWO years. Catastrophic.
Congratulations!! I just pre-ordered your book.
Thanks so much for all you do each day to share truth and ethical values.
P.S. I am really looking forward to reading the posts you wrote about Christ and Easter.
With gratitude and prayers,

Congratulations! Can’t wait!
Audiobook also?
Yes, it will be available on audiobook in September.
You are amazing!
Via my personal near-death car accident I have a personal experience with medicine. How enlightening I expect this book will be to read.
